Acoma potter Kathy Victorino, known for her precisely painted fine lines and geometric patterns in black and white, stayed true to form with this absolutely stunning, large jar. The piece features four perfectly painted starbursts along the center of the jar just below the inflection, surrounding by fine line, arrow, and lighting patterns that form a circle around each starburst. Above the inflection but below the rim, the piece is painted with reoccurring triangle patterns, all pointing in the same direction, remeniscent of the well-known Hopi migration pattern. While the base of the jar is left white, just above are reoccurring feather designs, all facing the same direction as well. 10″ tall x 9 1/2″ wide.
