Description
Turquoise and sterling silver combine in this beautiful, traditional maiden ring by Navajo silversmith Bennie Ration. The majority of the piece comprises sterling silver, while a single, oval turquoise stone containing portions of golden and brown matrix and set in a simple sterling silver bezel makes up the center of the body. The remainder of the body features a sterling silver rope pattern surrounding the base of the stone. A sterling silver maiden’s head, complete with deeply grooved rectangular eyes and a round, appliqued mouth, protrudes from the top of the body of the piece. The head is bordered on each side by a sterling silver bun, stamped with fine lines representing hair. The forehead of the piece is also stamped with fine lines, and stone and silverwork are set atop a split shank that merges halfway toward the back. 1 1/4″ long x 3/4″ wide. Fits ring size 6.
