An oval sterling silver panel features cut outs in the form of a bear paw to create a shadowbox style in this impressive, traditional Navajo belt buckle. Two blue turquoise stone are set within the pad of the paw in sawtooth sterling silver bezels, and each stone creates portions of brown matrix running throughout. The pad of the paw is finished with two appliqued sterling dots separating each turquoise piece, while the claws of the paw are simply precisely cut out of the silver. Scallop, crescent moon, and dot designs are stamped just below the claws, while stamped scallop patterns surround the entire paw. Just beyond the stamped scallop designs is a sterling rope pattern surrounding the entirety of the center of the piece, while scallop, crescent moon, and dot designs are stamped along the buckle’s border. 3″ long x 2 1/2″ wide. Fits belt size 1 5/8″.
