Known for his whimsical figurines, Jemez potter Darrick Tsosie created this incredible owl in the same vein. The intricate piece showcases a buff owl painted in multiple colors, featuring hand molded feathers surrounding nearly the entire body. The feathers are painted brown and blue along the body and white, blue, black, and red atop the head, while the indented wings on each side of the body are painted in white, the inside of which features blue and black reoccurring triangle patterns. The owl’s expressive eyes are painted white and black, showcasing small round cutouts. 5″ tall x 3 1/2″ wide x 4″ deep.
