Jemez potter Caroline Sando, known for adding turquoise accents to her storyteller pieces, created this lovely piece featuring six children. A woman is seated, six children in her lap, all with expressive eyes and small, round, open mouths. The woman also features expressive eyes and an open mouth, a piece of pottery set atop her feet, and a single turquoise piece set along her white, painted necklace. 4 5/8″ tall x 3″ wide x 3 7/8″ deep.
