Description
A fun take on a traditional storyteller figurine, this Mrs. Claus by Jemez potter Deborah “Kiki” Loretto Seonia features nine children and whimsical details. Mrs. Clause sits on a clay slat, nine children flanking her: one on each leg, one on each arm, one on each shoulder, two along her back, and one at her side. Each child on her arms, shoulders, and legs holds a present, while a wreath rests on one of her feet and a pile of gifts, along with a candy cane, rests in front of the other. A set of blocks is stacked along one of her sides, and the children are painted colorfully and expressively, while Mrs. Claus’ mouth is open. Mrs. Claus is also wearing wire glasses, and is dressed in her typical holiday garb. 5 7/8″ tall x 3″ wide x 3 1/2″ deep.
