Navajo carver Robert Platero, who carves his pieces out of pine, rather than cottonwood, created this gorgeous, small Morning Singer kachina. The piece showcases a beautiful brown color, varying light to medium, with dark accents which Robert burns onto his pieces. The kachina features feathers atop its head and in its hands, with carved accents along the neck and waist. The Morning Singer is said to appear on roof tops and sing songs to wake the people of the villages. 5 7/8″ tall x 2 1/2″ wide.
